Laminating
In addition to classic, open coatings, K.L. also produce single or multiple composite materials. At our fully continuous laminator plants we compound the various layers by way of partial, thermal plasticization (e.g., by calendering or irradiation) or by application of various adhesive systems. Similarly, the inline combination of various compounding techniques is standard procedure at K.L. Particularly in the automotive sector, classic flame lamination remains an important technique for coating hoses with textile surface materials.
In this context, we use adhesive materials ranging from simple polyethylenes to reactively cross-linking materials, such as polyurethane adhesives. If necessary, K.L. will be pleased to develop application-specific adhesive systems in cooperation with selected adhesives manufacturers or have these produced under our own instructions.
